There are a wide range of prices for vodkas. There is some justification for higher prices based on the use of exotic raw materials and distilling methods (pot-stills vs. column stills). Certain difficulties in handling products like potatoes or certified organic grains can easily dictate higher costs. Most vodkas on the market today are made from the most efficient and inexpensive raw material, corn. Ultimately, though, great vodka can be found at a reasonable price when costs for importation, multiple middlemen and expensive gimmicks are disregarded – and that’s the honest truth.
Don’t be fooled by tricky marketing and one-upsmanship – decide for yourself.
